Recently, on behalf of Shanghai Urban Construction Vocational College, He Guang, Deputy Party Secretary and Vice President of SUCC, Wang He, Director of Student Affairs Department, Gu Haojie, Deputy Party Secretary of the School of Municipal and Ecological Engineering, and Wang Ting, Program Director of the School of Health and Social Care, went to Egypt to attend the Academic Seminar on "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills", and held the inauguration ceremony of the SUCC TCM Physiotherapy Middle East Training Center at the Egyptian Chinese University (ECU).

At the seminar, He Guang introduced the college's project development and actual achievements in the field of "Chinese language + vocational skills" in recent years. In 2022 and 2023, the college offered two online sessions of the International Chinese Language Training Camp and one session of Chinese Tea Art Course for ECU students, which have been warmly welcomed. The establishment of the center further deepens the cooperation between SUCC and ECU. The move aims to push forward with overseas promotion of TCM by carrying out TCM physiotherapy technique training locally in Egypt. The center is the college's fifth overseas education and training base after those in Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Serbia. It will feature TCM health management, introduce TCM physiotherapy technique and international Chinese language education, and promote TCM culture.

After the seminar, the delegation went to China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone located in Egypt's Suez Canal Economic Zone to participate in the Vocational Education Achievements Exhibition of China-Egypt TEDA Industrial Park and know more about the needs and problems of China-funded enterprises in training local employees. They fully discussed with the heads of the industrial park and related enterprises on the training standards, contents and forms of international skilled talents needed by those enterprises. The participants studied the keynote speech delivered by President Xi Jinping at the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, and learned about the positive and enthusiastic response of Egypt's mainstream media to the speech. Both sides expressed that we must take the opportunity of implementing the spirit of Xi's speech to strengthen cooperation and research between China and Egypt in cultivating high-quality international skilled talents, so as to provide human resources support for the economic and social development under the Belt and Road Initiative.

China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone is a national economic and trade cooperation zone jointly promoted by President Xi Jinping and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. After 15 years of development and construction, it has now become an important platform for China-Egypt economic and trade cooperation. The cooperation zone has attracted 145 enterprises to settle in, secured a cumulative sales revenue of more than USD 3.8 billion, and created 50,000 jobs. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly hailed it as "an ideal model for the development of industrial parks in Egypt". At the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, President Xi Jinping noted in his meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly that we should implement the deliverables of the forum, strengthen cooperation between China and Egypt in infrastructure, agricultural technology, renewable energy and other fields, expand people-to-people exchanges and cooperation, and continuously promote the development of China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership.
